- Processing methods

- Caustic soda treatment: Prepare 1.5% caustic soda solution, soak the silkworm pupae for 12 hours, then dry and crush.

The crude protein content is more than 50%, and it is rich in various essential amino acids, such as methionine, lysine, etc.; it is rich in B vitamins, especially riboflavin; it contains a certain amount of crude fat and a small amount of calcium and phosphorus.
4. How is it different from other protein feeds?
Compared with fish meal, except for the lower content of some amino acids, the other contents are comparable and the price is usually lower; compared with plant protein feeds such as soybean meal, animal protein has higher quality and a more balanced amino acid composition.
5. What are the quality standards?
GB10386-89 stipulates:
- Grade 1: moisture ≤ 12.0%, crude protein ≥ 55%, crude fiber < 6%, crude ash < 4%;
- Second level: moisture ≤ 12.0%, crude protein ≥ 50%, crude fiber < 6%, crude ash < 5%;
- Grade 3: moisture ≤12.0%, crude protein ≥45%, crude fiber <6%, crude ash <5%.
6. In what fields is it applied?
- Livestock and poultry farming (pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, cattle, sheep, etc.): add 2.5%-5% to the daily diet of broilers, 2% to laying hens, 2% to pig feed, and 2% to 3% to dairy and beef cattle feed;
- Aquaculture (fish, shrimp, etc.).
7. How to store?
Seal the package in a plastic bag and place it in a dry, ventilated, cool place, avoid direct sunlight, and protect it from insects and rodents. It can be stored for 6-12 months if unopened. Use it as soon as possible after opening.
